Live Jazz, Thin Line 2014 and 35 Denton 2015
By Kathy Edwards McFarland
Denton plays host to the Thin Line 2014 event – February 12-16, offering a variety of documentary short and feature films at the Campus Theatre and the Fine Arts Theatre. This one-of-a-kind documentary film festival fest, known for “blurring the ever-thinning line between fact and fiction,” will expand its reach this year, by not only introducing a variety of documentary short and feature films, but music from a mix of genres and featuring “mostly” local artists.
Tickets and Passes
There are two ways to access Thin Line events: Tickets & Passes. Tickets are for individual shows and can be purchased online, by phone, or ‘at the door.’ Pre-Sale Tickets are now available for all film screenings and select main stage music shows. And what of 35 Denton 2015?
As the Thin Line Film Festival board of directors, currently presided by Festival Director (President) – Joshua Butler, expands the festival’s scope to include music, are they daring to steal a bit of 35 Denton’s Indie-music festival’s thunder? Not really – 35 Denton organizers “… will be working hard and popping in for other special events around town, like Thin Line Film & Music Festival; where we’ll be showcasing some of our favorite local talent under the DME tent on February 14 (that’s Valentine’s Day ya’ll!) and selling blind presale tickets to 35 2015 for the first time!
