No, I won’t tell you how many day until Christmas. I will say you really need to check out the fantastic line-up of Live Jazz events coming up – and maybe commit to one of those wonderful holiday celebrations for New Year’s Eve, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, etc.
That is further on down the road, this post reveals the stunning schedule of Jazz shows this week.
Friday, Nov. 1:
University of North Texas Jazz Guest Artist Ralph Petersen (drum set) performs in Kenton Hall, 8 p.m. Free.

Banter Bistro, 219 W. Oak St., kicks off the weekend tonight with Lane Garner Jazz, 6 p.m., followed by Allison Maurine & Jack Hughman, 8 p.m. And Medicinal Bourbon at 10 p.m.
For fun Bavarian Folk Music (aka polkas) with your Brats and Kraut, take in Ron and the Finklesteiners, Gerhard’s German Restaurant, 222 W. Hickory St., 7-9 p.m. No cover.
Mariachi Queztal plays for your dining pleasure at La Milpa Mexican Restaurant, 820 S. I-35E, 8 p.m. – Free
