South American sounds excite Denton nights

Thanks to the influx of South American students studying at University of North Texas, we have amazing opportunities to see and hear exotic takes on Latin folk, rock, cumbia and jazz. This week we have two bands playing music from two different South American countries.

Thursday, June 6:

Los Patos Poderosos (translates to “The Mighty Ducks“) plays their infectious percussion, Los Patos Poderosaspsychedelic Andean melodies, called Chicha/Peruvian Cumbia, featuring South American female vocalists, Sweetwater Grill & Tavern, 115 S. Elm St., Denton, 7-9 p.m. – Free
